I help buyers, sellers, and relocators make confident moves in Knoxville and East Tennessee with calm guidance, honest perspective, and real-life strategy.

After making several big moves myself, I understand that real estate is never just about the house. It is about lifestyle, timing, family, finances, and finding the right fit for the season you are stepping into.

My role is to help you understand your options, see the market clearly, and move forward without pressure.

Real Life. Real Talk. Real Estate.

A Real-Life Approach to Real Estate

A move usually starts long before a showing.

It starts with a conversation. A question. A life change. A feeling that something is shifting.

Maybe you are relocating to East Tennessee from another state. Maybe you are downsizing after raising a family. Maybe you are ready for land, new construction, a quieter pace, or a home that fits this next chapter better than the last one did. Maybe you are preparing to sell and want someone who will be honest with you about pricing, presentation, timing, and strategy.

That is where I come in.

I do not believe real estate should feel rushed, confusing, or salesy. I believe good guidance should help you slow down where it matters, move decisively when it counts, and make decisions with clarity.

My approach is relationship-first, strategy-led, and rooted in real life.

Why I Guide Differently

I know what it feels like to start over somewhere new.

Over the last several years, my husband and I have moved through multiple states and life seasons. Each move came with its own questions: Where do we belong? What will daily life feel like? Will this be the right fit? What are we giving up, and what are we gaining?

That experience changed how I see real estate.

A home search is not just a list of bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage. It is about how you want your days to feel. It is about the drive to the grocery store, the porch where you drink your coffee, the neighborhood that fits your rhythm, the distance from family, the views, the maintenance, the lifestyle, and the long-term decision behind the purchase.

For sellers, it is also personal. A home may hold years of memories, transitions, hard work, and family history. Selling it well requires more than a sign in the yard. It requires thoughtful preparation, strong presentation, honest pricing, and a strategy that respects both the property and the people behind it.

What I Help With

Relocation to East Tennessee

Moving from out of state brings a different kind of search. I help clients understand Knoxville, Farragut, Maryville, Fountain City, Powell, Halls, the Smoky Mountain communities, and the surrounding East Tennessee lifestyle so they can make a more informed decision before choosing a home.

Buying Your Next Home

The right home is more than the right floor plan. I help buyers think through location, value, condition, lifestyle fit, resale considerations, and the details that may not show up in the listing photos.

Selling with Strategy

A thoughtful sale starts before the home goes live. From preparation and pricing to photography, presentation, marketing, negotiation, and communication, I help sellers position their home with intention.

New Construction, Land & Custom Homes

New construction and land require a different level of due diligence. Site conditions, builder timelines, utilities, restrictions, topography, budget expectations, and long-term value all matter. I help clients ask better questions early so they can move forward with more confidence.

A Personal Letter from Deanna

A move has a way of bringing everything to the surface.

The practical questions. The emotional ones. The excitement. The second-guessing. The hope that the next place will feel right.

I know that feeling because I have lived it.

My husband and I have moved from Ohio to Montana, Florida, and eventually East Tennessee. Three moves (4 states) in eight years. Each move taught me something different about home, identity, timing, and what it means to start over in a place you are still learning.

From the outside, moving can look simple. Find the house, make the offer, pack the boxes, start fresh.

But anyone who has done it knows there is more beneath the surface.

You are not just choosing a house.

You are choosing a daily life. A community. A rhythm. A view. A commute. A grocery store. A church. A coffee shop. A place for your family to visit. A version of life you are hoping will feel right once the moving truck is gone.

That is why I care so much about helping people make thoughtful moves.

Before becoming a Realtor in East Tennessee, I spent years in marketing, websites, client communication, and home-related businesses. I also worked in custom home sales, where I saw how many details go into building, buying, and positioning a home well. I learned that some of the most expensive mistakes happen when people do not know what questions to ask early enough.

That experience shaped the way I work.

I pay attention to presentation.
I care about strategy.
I believe details matter.
I believe people deserve honest answers.
And I believe pressure is not the same thing as guidance.

When I moved to East Tennessee, I saw more than a real estate market. I saw a place people are drawn to for a better lifestyle, a slower pace, more space, mountain views, family, retirement, opportunity, or a next chapter they can finally breathe into.

That is the heart of my business.

I help people understand not only what is for sale, but what life might actually feel like once they get here.

For buyers, that may mean comparing Knoxville to Maryville, or Farragut to Fountain City, or a new construction community to a home with acreage. It may mean talking through commute patterns, terrain, road types, resale, lifestyle fit, or whether the home that looks beautiful online truly makes sense in real life.

For sellers, that may mean having an honest conversation about pricing, preparation, photography, positioning, and how buyers are likely to perceive the home. It may mean making small changes that create a stronger first impression. It may mean telling the truth kindly, even when it would be easier to say what someone wants to hear.

That is the kind of advisor I want to be.

Not loud.
Not pushy.
Not transactional.

Steady. Prepared. Honest. Thoughtful.

I am still building my East Tennessee story, and I am doing it with intention. I study the market. I visit neighborhoods. I learn the roads, the builders, the communities, the local rhythms, and the questions people ask when they are trying to decide if this is the right place for them.

I do not take that trust lightly.

If you are looking for someone who will pressure you into a decision, I am probably not your person.

But if you want someone who will listen, tell you the truth, help you sort through your options, and guide you with calm strategy from the first conversation to the closing table, I would be honored to help.

Because this has never been just about real estate.

It is about finding the place that fits your life.

Real Life. Real Talk. Real Estate.
